Sharing W/Me

“I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and  every situation,  well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who give me strength.

Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early day of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only, for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. I have receive full payment and even more;  I am amply supplied, now that I have received  for Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, and acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.   Philippians 4: 10- 20

God’s Word shows us in the way to give and the way to support missionaries. In this passage Paul shows us (as a missionary) the thoughts he had. I can’t say that I have ever been as hungry as Paul ever had become or the Haitian people that I am serving now. I can say that I continue to learn what it means to be content in all and every circumstance. There are those days when I find myself overwhelmed in not knowing if I will have the support I need to continue doing the work God has called me to do. The Lord continually reminds me to trust Him…to believe…to wait. So I press in to Him.  I am so grateful for those that have given, because your not only supporting me…you are supporting the work of sharing the Gospel. Your gifts are as Paul says, “a fragrant offering, and accpetable saccrifice, pleasing to God.” Your support and your gifts have a beautiful aroma and I give thanks to you for allowing God to use you in this way. It is my prayer for you that He will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. When you support me you are saying ” I want to join in the work God is doing in Haiti.”

  • Pray for the Mission and the ministries that partner with us to be able to serve the Haitian people.   • Pray about coming on a short-term mission trip with NWHCM….just go to www.nwhcm.org to see trip dates.
  • It has been a blessing to see God’s provision come in,  (many times at the very last minute…His timing is always perfect)but it has been more of a blessing to see our storehouse go out. I praise the Lord for being a part of  a mission that doesn’t hold on to what has been given.  Because we have been blessed…we can be a blessing. It is beautiful to see first hand. Continue to pray for this…that our resources will enlarge.
  • Be a prayer warrior for me…I know I have many that are on their knees for me and I know I couldn’t be doing what I am doing…or could have gone thru the 2010 earthquake and hurricanes without my team of  prayer warriors. Keep on praying…keep holding my hands up…keep listening. Will you enlist to become a prayer warrior for me?
  • Pray for the support of my fellow missionaries as well as myself.
